Speech Therapy

Nicole, MS, CCC-SLP

I am a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist at TCTCI. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2001. I worked as a pediatric speech therapist for several years before stepping away from clinical practice to focus on raising and homeschooling my children.

As a mother to a large family, I bring a deep understanding of child development, communication differences, and the importance of meeting children where they are. I have called Alvin home for over 20 years.  After many years devoted to my family, I have returned to the field that I love—helping children develop the skills they need to communicate effectively and confidently.

My Favorite Speech Activity: My favorite part of speech therapy is helping children learn to express themselves in meaningful ways and watching their confidence grow as their communication skills improve. I’m passionate about building strong connections with my clients and their families and believe that every child deserves to be heard.

If I had a superpower: If I had a superpower, it would be the ability to read minds—because understanding what a child wants to say is often the first step in helping them say it.

Ready to Take the Next Step?

If you’re here, chances are you already have questions (and maybe a few worries) about your child. You don’t need to have all the answers before reaching out. You just need a place that will listen, understand what’s going on, and help you figure out what to do next.

At The Children’s Therapy Center, Inc., families come to us because they want their child to feel more comfortable, more confident, and more successful in everyday life. A quick conversation can help you understand your options and decide whether therapy is the right next step for your child. Reach out today to get started.
