Motor-Based Therapy Programs
in Webster, TX
Strengthening Coordination, Timing, and Focus
Some children struggle with coordination, attention, timing, or motor planning, which can affect learning, behavior, and participation in daily activities. At The Children’s Therapy Center, Inc., motor-based programs can be incorporated into pediatric occupational therapy sessions to support movement, organization, and overall functional development.
We offer these programs to families in Webster, Clear Lake, and the greater Houston area when they are clinically appropriate and aligned with a child’s individualized therapy plan.
Interactive Metronome (IM)
Interactive Metronome is a structured timing and coordination program used within occupational therapy to support attention, motor control, and processing speed. IM may benefit children who:
- Have difficulty sustaining attention
- Struggle with impulse control
- Appear uncoordinated or clumsy
- Have challenges with timing and sequencing
- Show difficulty with executive functioning tasks
- Have delays with language and reading
- Struggle with confidence and social participation
Using rhythmic auditory cues and guided motor responses, Interactive Metronome helps children improve timing and synchronization. As timing improves, families often notice better focus, smoother movement, and improved participation in academic and daily tasks.

Korro System
The Korro system is a motor-based intervention designed to support reflex integration, posture, and foundational movement patterns. It is incorporated into occupational therapy sessions when children demonstrate underlying motor coordination challenges that may impact attention, balance, or functional skills.
The Korro system may benefit children who:
- Struggle with posture or body awareness
- Have difficulty with coordination and balance
- Appear easily fatigued during physical tasks
- Show persistent primitive reflex patterns
- Struggle with self regulation and fine motor coordination
Through structured movement activities, the Korro system helps strengthen core stability and motor organization. As foundational movement skills improve, children are often better able to regulate their bodies, sustain attention, and participate more confidently in daily routines. This can also be done as a home program.
