Transition Institute Survey
Here at The Children’s Therapy Center, Inc. we are always striving for ways to meet the needs of the community of families in our area. One aspect we have noted that has not been fully addressed is the needs of teens and young adults as they move from the high school experience to college, working life or independent living. There are so many skills that are necessary to successful navigation of adult life.
To help meet those needs, The Children’s Therapy Center, Inc. is endeavoring to form a Transition Institute specifically targeted towards ages 13-22 years, and we can use some help to point us in the directions of highest need as we begin this exciting new chapter. This is where you come in. Following is a questionnaire with a variety of specific skills, which fall under the three pillars that research points to as being most important to foster success. This includes Social Readiness, Functional Independent Living Skills, and Self-Advocacy. Most classes will include community-based instruction. Some classes can also be taught with parents in mind. Thank you so much in advance for helping us.
